Young Robin Hood G Manville Fenn 9781407611570 Books
this book had a great idea for a short story: a look at Robin Hood from a child's perspective. however, the story is carried by the idea and the idea alone. the characters are bland, with the sole exception of the Sheriff of Nottingham, who is not, by the way, portrayed as a villain. the writing style, in an apparent attempt at charm, comes across as being stiflingly condescending. its one saving grace is that it is a book about Robin Hood, and a mercifully short one.also, the title is misleading.

Young Robin Hood G Manville Fenn 9781407611570 Books Reviews
I liked this story, it was easy to read and very simple. These stories have been my favorite since I was little and I still enjoy finding new and different versions of the story to read.
written well, for the adult reader, not from child's view, yet not written about young Robin, just from a child's visit to the Camp . Short , I read it in one day.
I thought the book I have was good but this book was great! But I wish there were pictures though
An ok kid's story with Robin Hood in it.
I've always had a fascination for Robin Hood tales, and I have to admit that a few twists in "Young Robin Hood" were surprisingly different than the usual, but still it was a very nice story, one I did not expect, but did enjoy.
Young Robin Hood George Manville Fenn
The novel is somewhat short, but is certainly complete.
This young Robin is not THE Robin Hood in his youth. This Robin does met up with Robin Hood and his "merry men" almost at the very beginning of this really delightful novel. He is forbidden to go home. But, then, he wavers between wanting and not wanting to return to his home. Considering the reason for his being forbidden to go home, things get rather interesting as the tale draws to a conclusion.
This is, in my estimation, another great book by George Manville Fenn.
A fun quick read about a lighter and happier side of the life of the men of Sherwood and maybe a new leader in the future
